The greatest story ever told for every age and taste! Offered in peace and joy…
In those days, a decree went out from Emperor Augustus. He ordered that all the world should be registered. Everyone had to register in their own town. So Joseph the carpenter, descended from the house of David, went to Bethlehem. He took with him, Mary, his wife. For she was expecting a baby and had received Promises from the Angel Gabriel that this was God’s own Son.
So Joseph and Mary with their little donkey travelled to Bethlehem. Passing through the Bourneville estate, they wandered down Quality Street, looking for a room to spend the night. For it was After Eight and getting dark. They asked at all the inns and all the Double Decker hotels. But there were no rooms and Mary and Joseph had to spend the night in a stable. Here it was that Mary gave birth to her first-born son, Jesus.
And in that region there were shepherds having a Picnic in the fields, while watching their flocks by night. And behold an angel of the Lord appeared before them, flying in the Aero. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, do not Ripple or Flake, for unto you this day in Bethlehem is born Christ the Lord.”
Still all of a Twirl the shepherds made their way across the Crunchie frost covered fields to Bethlehem. And there they found the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and Lion in a Manger.
And it came to pass that at this time wise men from the East, proper Smarties, you might say – came to Jerusalem, to King Herod’s palace. And they asked Herod, “Where is the child who has been born King of the Jews? For we have been observing the Galaxy and the Milky Way, following the star that tells of his birth.”
Troubled by this, Herod called his scribes together and asked them where the Messiah was to be born. Nervously, they unwrapped their Curly Wurly scrolls and read from the prophet, Micah, that the Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem.
This Topic of conversation made Herod all of a Twix. But being a sneaky fellow, he sent the wise men on their way, saying, “Go, find the child and then bring me word, so that I too may join the Celebrations.”
Following the star, the wise men arrived at Bethlehem where they presented before the little child a Bounty of gifts:
- All Gold,
- Ferrero Rochet,
- and Mars.
And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they decided to Snicker back to their own country by another road. The ‘ancient ones’ said it was actually a Marathon!
And long after the Revels of these events were over, Mary treasured all these things in her heart. For it is a miracle that a child so Divine came to be with us, to help us be like him. That’s more than a Fair Trade, for those who know about such things.
Yet, there is one more truth that chocolate and Christmas hold in common….
Each is better when shared.

This is wonderful!
